Affiliate disclosure

Plain English, as required by the FTC — and because you should know anyway.

The short version

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change the price you pay.

Which links

Affiliate links appear mainly in our gear guides and product roundups. Every block that contains them carries a visible notice above it, and each link is marked rel="sponsored" so search engines can identify it too. Links to research, extension services, and reference material are never affiliate links.

Amazon

Grow In Backyard is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

What it does not buy

No brand can pay us for a recommendation, a ranking position, or a rating. We pick what we would buy ourselves, we name the cheap option when the cheap option wins, and we tell you when the honest answer is that you do not need the product at all. If a pick stops being the right answer, we change it.

Advertising

We also run display advertising. Those ads are served by third parties and are not endorsements — we do not choose which ads you see, and an advertiser appearing on a page has no bearing on what that page says.
