Privacy policy
Last updated September 1, 2026
This policy explains what Grow In Backyard collects when you visit, why, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
- Analytics. Aggregate data about which pages are read, roughly where readers are, and which device they use. We use it to decide what to write next.
- Email address. Only if you subscribe to Backyard Weekly. We use it to send the newsletter and nothing else.
- Messages you send us. Kept so we can reply and track corrections.
We do not ask for, or store, payment details — we do not sell anything directly on this site.
Cookies and third parties
Advertising and analytics partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure performance and, where permitted, personalise ads. These are set by those companies, not by us, and are governed by their own policies. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work.
Who your data is shared with
Our analytics provider, our email provider, our advertising partners, and our hosting provider — each only to the extent needed to run the site. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any newsletter email using the link at the bottom of it.
- Ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to delete it.
- Use your browser's cookie and Do Not Track settings.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under the GDPR or the CCPA. Email us and we will honour them.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will update this page when what we do changes, and change the date above when we do.
